Established in the year 2005, the first interventional procedure performed in the center involved transarterial chemoembolization and radiofrequency ablation of tumors in the liver. Within one year more procedures were added to the list of services including hydrocision of prolapsed discs as well as treatment of back pains with radiofrequency nerve ablation, treatment of impotence without surgery using minimally invasive image guided procedures.
The team involved in performing these procedures includes interventional radiology consultants as well as anaesthesia consultants, vascular surgery consultants, and ICU doctors.
